Who We Are

AOC Australia is the national peak professional body for Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), and Information Operations (IO).


We are part of the global Association of Old Crows, bringing together Australia's Defence, Government, Industry, and Academic experts to strengthen national capability and regional collaboration.

What’s the session about?

This session will examine how antennas–long a cornerstone of EW–remain central to operational effectiveness while design and learning approaches are rapidly evolving.

In this session, David will:

  • Revisit the fundamental role of antennas in electronic warfare;

As Australia continues to develop its innovation and research ecosystem, the connection between academia and industry is becoming increasingly important. In this session, Simon will share how academic–industry engagement works in practice, highlighting opportunities for students, universities, and industry partners to co-design impactful research experiences.

From pioneering research to operational breakthroughs, these awards recognise innovation, leadership, and excellence across the Australian Defence and industry community – proudly complementing the global AOC awards program. 

A Stage Worthy of Your Achievements

Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on 12 March 2026, held during EW ANZ 2026 – the Indo-Pacific’s premier forum for EW, Spectrum Operations, CEMA, and Information Operations. 

Set against the theme of Coalition Convergence, the event will bring together over 400 leaders and professionals from Defence, government, industry, and academia who celebrate excellence, fosters connection, and inspires the future of our profession.
